“The DRIVE” June 2010 – The Route – 61 Cities – 13 Days !
We have decided to “prove” our visit to each City by taking photographs with the Jaguars [where possible] next to a “landmark” or “iconic site” which will identify each City, or, if we get stuck for ideas, next to a signpost !
Sounds easy – doesn’t it . IT ISN’T. In some Cities we are spoiled for choice – London = Tower Bridge? Buckingham Palace? Trafalgar Square? The Houses of Parliament? Big Ben? Harrods? — BUT how do you park 2 Classic Jaguars – jump out – run across the road – take a picture – without being run over or arrested ?
In other Cities there is really only one option THE CATHEDRAL ! –
St. David’s; Salisbury; Winchester; Canterbury; BUT how about the 17 Cities on our route that do not have Cathedrals ? Where do we photograph in Lancaster, Preston, Stoke or Hull, for instance? Do you really want to see 44 photographs of Jaguars parked outside Cathedrals? – Surely 25 would be more than enough ! Surely we can be a bit more imaginative than that ! A bit more inventive – quirky even !!!
YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. All we can say is that we HOPE to get the Jaguars where Jaguars are usually not allowed to go, we HOPE to get some STUNNING and UNUSUAL Locations. Wish us luck!

Day 2 – Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Bath, Wells, Exeter, and Truro.
Day 3 – Plymouth, Salisbury, Winchester, Southampton, Portsmouth, Chichester.
Day 4 – Brighton, Canterbury, City of London, City of Westminster.
Day 5 – Oxford, St. Albans, Cambridge.
Day 6 – Ely, Norwich, Peterborough, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby.
Day 7 – Sheffield, Lincoln, Hull, Wakefield, Bradford, Leeds, York.
Day 8 – Ripon, Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle.
Day 9 – Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee, Aberdeen.
Day 10 – Inverness.
Day 11 – Glasgow, Carlisle, Lancaster, Preston, Manchester, Salford, Liverpool, Chester.
Day 12 – Bangor, Stoke on Trent, Lichfield, Wolverhampton.
Day 13 – Birmingham, Coventry.
This is of course subject to change and revision depending upon traffic diversions, weather, and getting lost.
